A Qassam rocket was fired from the Gaza Strip Saturday afternoon, prompting residents in southern Israel to take cover in bomb shelters and secure rooms.
The rocket landed in an open area in the Ashkelon Beach regional council; no physical injuries or damages were reported in the attack.
Shortly after the strike, the Color Red alert was also activiated in the Sderot region and in the Ashkelon area. However, police later said these were false alarms.
The latest attack continued a series of rocket launches from the Gaza Strip in recent days. On Friday, a Qassam fired from northern Gaza hit an open area near a kibbutz in the Sha'ar Hanegev regional council.

As all knows ,Obama cannot be trusted.. he has lied to the American people and Israel is wrong to trust him. obama has shown his color supporting Muslins and Arabs... he has had the billl from Congress for months to put sanctions on Iran and yet has to sign it... that should tell all he cares nothing for Israel but kisses up to Iran.. is it hes afraid or somthing up his sleeve? Tonight on CSpan...i heard Hillary Clinton discuss the possible 'good' future for Israel if they divided, and Palestine became its own state. That that will be the only way that Israel can prosper and move forward??? Ya know the more I listened...the more I realized just how ignorant she, and Obama..and all of this liberal administration really is. For instance...her big mouth about Israel building housing in Jerusalem? That was Obama talking. To most of us Americans...well at least over half of us.....do NOT agree with this man. He is evil...and is anti-Israel, and in my opinion...not to be trusted. I love my country...but Israel is even more important to us. I am praying for you daily.
