Obama: No crisis in U.S. ties with Israel

United States President Barack Obama said Thursday that there was no crisis in ties with Israel, despite a high-profile diplomatic feud over the Netanyahu administration's plans to build 1,600 homes in East Jerusalem.

"Israel is one of our closest allies, and we and the Israeli people have a special bond that's not going to go away," Obama said in an interview with Fox News.

"But friends are going to disagree sometimes," Obama said.

The United States had previously described as an "insult" Israel's decision to construct housing units in the neighborhood of Ramat Shlomo, announced during a visit to Israel last week by U.S. Vice President Joe Biden.

Interior Minister Eli Yishai gave approval for the construction hours after Biden spoke about Obama's commitment to Israel's security in the face of what both countries see as threats from Iran.

Guess Obama got his ears full from Netanyahu when he didnt bow down to him like Obama did to arab King..He disgraced America and showed his true colors when he insulted Israel and made all know just how much he can be trusted.... having told so many distruths to his own country Israel had best wash their hands of him... he has disgraced U S A and they do not trust him so be wise Israel and depend on yourself and stand firm >Look how hes done with Iran. Sucking up to them knowing he hasnt done what he said .Hes failing at everything as hes running scared and trying to show strentgh with his weakness. he could cut off capital funds. gas etc. so all he speaks is bull crap. with the so called sanctions the deal with Russia goes to show you whats going on... stay away from him as hes treated Israel like dogs and enemies like the elite. Watch your back Israel....
