As President Trump’s visit next week draws near, the question on everyone’s lips here is… “Will he or won’t he?”
Referring to the same question in Israel following the rise to ‘power’ of many U.S Presidents as to whether or not America shall move their embassy to Israel’s capital, Jerusalem.
Two decades ago, Congress already passed the ‘Jerusalem Embassy Act’ requiring the United States to move its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. This bill became law under President Bill Clinton – alas every president since then has issued waivers preventing the move from taking place.
And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it. (Zechariah 12:3)
Is it a test from the LORD for all who love YAHUAH and HIS Word to intercede for President Trump to stand tall and proclaim Jerusalem as Israel’s capital? It should be. Coming to Jerusalem is the man who leading up to his election made many wonderful promises, and was elected in part on his statements to move the American embassy to Jerusalem when elected.
“We will move the American embassy to the eternal capital of the Jewish people, Jerusalem. And we will send a clear signal that there is no daylight between America and our most reliable ally, the State of Israel.” President Trump
Now as June 2017 that marks the 50th anniversary of the reunification of Jerusalem nears what better opportunity for President Trump to let the world know where America truly stands Biblically with GOD’s plan for Israel.
And He changes the times and the seasons;
He removes kings and raises up kings;
He gives wisdom to the wise
And knowledge to those who have understanding.
(Daniel 2:21)
Already it seems however, according to Israeli press that the announcement to move ahead with the Embassy move is being ‘pushed back.’ From this we can either determine the ‘appointed time for America to declare its Biblical position with Israel has not yet come’ or maybe just ‘America shall ultimately be left standing on the wrong side of GOD’s blessings.
U.S administrations have for decades signaled it does not recognize Israel’s sovereignty in Jerusalem, preferring to ‘hold onto’ an unbiblical hope for a political peace solution to a spiritual problem. Determined to somehow someday make Jerusalem the capital of both Israel and a future independent ‘Palestine.’
Sure there could be repercussions should the US embassy in Israel move from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. But compared to the ‘repercussions’ Israel faced on May 14th 1948 upon declaring the birth of this Nation and trusting GOD to defend her…. Well the similarities should not leave the world shaking in its boots – not just yet at least.
This struggling with the Jerusalem question is not political – The outcome however is a Biblical given, that requires an enormous spiritual shift…In the mindsets of believers… An about turn from putting any faith in political ‘leaders’ to a willingness to stand against ungodly principalities at work seeking to hinder the plan of GOD for Jerusalem.
Tuesday we shall know.
Time to start praying.
