The NBA All Star game will start on the 16th of February in New Orleans. The spectacle of all the great basketball players competing in this epic game will be enhanced by some really cool Israeli Tech. Developed by Replay Technologies is a system called “FreeD” which enables broadcasters to film the action from a static array of 22 cameras covering every possible angle.
This doesn’t mean that the action will be viewed by jumping to each of the cameras would be a pointless if not distracting idea. The Israeli Tech guys at Replay Technologies came up with an amazing computer algorithm which synchronizes the cameras to create the effect of watching the action in fluid 3d. It would be like watching Neo playing Basketball with Morpheus! This will make watching replays of the action possible in any angle. This will allow the viewers a truly immersive experience. The only people who might learn to hate this system are the referees.
With professional sports broadcasting worth billions Replay Technologies and “FreeD” stand to have a great future representing innovative Israeli Tech.
