Chorazim<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jesus cursed the towns of Chorazim<\/strong>, Bethsaida and Capernaum<\/a> for their disbelief and by the 4th century Chorazim was in ruins. Among the remains\u00a0 of its ancient synagogue archaeologists found an armed seat carved out of a single basalt rock. This is thought by many to be an example of \u201cthe seat of Moses<\/em>\u201d, the inscribed bench of a local teacher, referred to in Matthew 23:2.<\/p>\n

Chorazim was an important town at the town of Jesus.<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

Gamala<\/strong><\/p>\n

On the Lake\u2019s eastern shore, Gamala<\/strong> was a Zealot city. Ultra-nationalists with fervent Messianic beliefs, the Zealots led the ill-fated revolt against Rome in 67 AD. At Gamala they mounted the last Galilean stand against Vespasian\u2019s army. For days they beat back waves of attacks. Then the Romans breached the walls and began a systematic slaughter of men, women and children. The last defenders threw themselves to their deaths rather than fall into Roman hands. Thousands died. Only two women survived.<\/p>\n

Like the hump of a camel, Gamala took its name from the hill\u2019s shape.<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

*Then he began to upbraid the cites wherein most of his mighty works were done, because they repented not: Woe unto thee, Chorazim! Woe unto thee, Bethsaida!
