At 12:52 a.m. I was woken up from a sound sleep by the \u201cTseva Adom\u201d alarm sounding. As normal we made our way to the bomb shelter. Once there we heard two loud explosions and the lights to the house went off. Power to about half of the city went out and staid out for many hours.<\/strong><\/p>\n

House destroyed in Sderot – Photo by Noam Bedein<\/p><\/div>My wife made the customary phone calls to her mother and son; Mom has no lights as well and her son said that the Kassam hit their apartment building. With that we were out the door in the pitch black to their apartment.<\/p>\n

The road was blocked my police, ambulances, the bomb disposal unit and city officials. We parked the car down the street and walked under the red police barricade tape to gain access to her home.<\/p>\n

Yahear was shaken to say the least. He was also woken up by the \u201cTseva Adom\u201d alarm sounding and then the impact and explosion of the Kassam which left him in a daze and a bit disoriented. \u201cIt was the loudest explosion I have ever heard\u201d he said in the dark.<\/p>\n
