On that day the LORD made a covenant with Abram and said, \u201cTo your descendants I give this land, from the Wadi of Egypt to the great river, the Euphrates\u201d (Genesis 15:8)<\/p>\n

Despite having announced that Egypt had offered land in the Sinai Peninsula to be annexed to the Gaza Strip to settle Palestinian refugees, Abbas continues to claim Judea and Samaria for his Palestinian state, along with East Jerusalem as its capital. The proposal for a Sinai enclave is said to have come from Israeli national security adviser Giora Eiland during the time in which Mohammed Morsi was Egypt\u2019s president.<\/p>\n
