The Bible is not a book of formulas, mathematical codes that lead to treasure troves, the Ark of the Covenant or the true path of the Exodus. It is guide to living a righteous life and being a part of the Kingdom of God. Numbers in the Bible have deep significance, so do signs from nature. The Hebrews were literate, they could read and write. The absence of written materials is based on the environmental conditions and overall lifestyle. The majority of the population lived in an agricultural lifestyle, possessions were practical, synagogue was where Scripture was studied and read and this was done. Shards have been found which contain letters and phrases which those learning the aleph bet used to practice.<\/p>\n
