Give thanks to The Lord for He is good<\/p><\/div>Shema Yisrael. In Israel and around the world these are the first words the conscious mind speaks upon rising. It is an acknowledgement that the day begins and will end, hopefully in God\u2019s ways. The news each day is more and more intimidating. But we can learn from Israel\u2019s eternal Covenant with The Almighty that those who remain in faith will endure beyond the trauma and international tensions.<\/p>\n

Giving thanks is a major part of Scripture. In America we look forward to Thursday with traditional events and gatherings. This year a shadow of doubt intrudes into the celebration, but Biblical faith forbids worry or doubt. \u201cIf God is with us, who can be against us?\u201d<\/p>\n
