The miracle of the Temple oil burning for eight days is commemorated annually with a candle being lit on the Hanukah menorah on each of those days.
Hanukkah is observed for eight nights and days, starting on the 25th day of Kislev according to the Hebrew calendar, which may occur at any time from late November to late December in the Gregorian calendar.
This beautiful hand painted candle-holder is made of metal and it measures 9" x 9.4" x 2.3". This item features a tree design with pink and blue birds and laser-cut metal pomegranates. It is painted with this design in the front and in solid blue on the back.

Emanuel, a graduate of the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, lives and works in Jerusalem. Born in Kibbutz Sha'alavim, he grew up in Jerusalem. His style is based upon a fusion of traditional motifs and ancient Jewish manuscripts with modern and Oriental art. Vivid and harmonious colors as well as a mixture of the old and the new characterize Emanuel's work, designed in his Jerusalem studio.
