by Tom Brennan,
After a “reconnect the dots” visit to Saudi Arabia (no bowing to the King), President Trump will pay a formal State visit to Israel. During the catastrophic Obama terms America’ s alliances and relationships with most nations in the region, especially Israel, were drastically changed in favor of promoting Iran as America’s regional surrogate. Despite mass media and domestic radical attacks and campaigns against the new administration, President Trump is working through very personal diplomacy to reconnect America to a region in turmoil.
Trump’s victory was the result of several dramatic changes in political tactics and the ongoing social crises in contemporary America. For beginners, Trump bypassed the overwhelmingly Democrat mass media and used social media to communicate directly with voters. Looking at the biographies and credentials of many TV hosts, most are generally commentators not journalists or reporters. Most have direct relationships with the Democrat Party. Objectivity is no longer even considered. To their dismay, Trump won the Electoral College despite allegedly losing the popular vote. The media, working with openly anti-Trump forces have created issues such as alleged Russian interference in the election process (never mind the Obama-financed interference in Israel’s elections), and totally unsupported accusations of payoffs, “leaking” secret information about ISIS to Putin and a host of almost hysterical daily charges. The overall intent is to delegitimize the election. The effect is to create mass confusion in the international dealings of the new administration and weaken any confidence.
Trump was enthusiastically supported and elected by factions that saw America in international, economic, military and moral decline. Critical analysis of the actual facts behind these series of events will affirm their choice. Yet the media continues to assume an arrogant and condescending attitude which flies in the face of reality. They were wrong. They lost.
Yet we must be honest about Donald J. Trump. He is a twice divorced, real estate developer, multibillionaire from New York City. Despite a promising education and genuine ability at a military academy, he sought a student waiver and did no service. He is essentially a “loner”, brilliant negotiator, flamboyant in his presentation and you either love him or hate him, there is no middle ground. He is a fine tuned and often ruthless businessman and never shows his hand. He often holds his cards to his chest and shares little. He can be passionate and rash in his decisions. To traditional politicians these are the ultimate anathema.
There are active discussions in social media about a second American Civil War. The anti-Trump forces are well-financed (most by Globalist Soros shadow groups), well organized, and increasingly violent (AntiFa riots in Portland, Oregon). The possibility of a widespread inner conflict is an alarming reality. The most evident result is a loss of confidence in the resolve or capability of the United States to resist sudden movements by North Korea, China or Russia.
Despite his magnetic personality and obvious talents Israel is wise to take it all with a grain or two of salt and continue to build regional relationships with Egypt, Jordan the Saudis and Gulf States as well as the new friendships in Asia with China and India. This seems to be a case where the troubled USA will need Israel’s support more than Israel will need ours.
One way or another, we all need to remember that the real Messiah will return in glory to the Mount of Olives in Israel (not land on the White House lawn, or the Vatican or Mecca). The Mount of Olives cannot be held by an enemy. Hold the high ground. Stand with The Land.
